Sam Carter

Sam Carter is currently sharing his time with both the SSRC and NYU's Institute for Public Knowledge, and beginning in March 2008, he will serve as Assistant Director of NYU IPK. Carter joined the President's Office of the SSRC in August 2007 to serve as Program Coordinator. His portfolio of projects at SSRC include coordinating the Council's Hurricane Katrina Task Force with Dr. Kai Erikson and helping to develop a book series on the Privatization of Risk. Prior to joining the SSRC, Mr. Carter served as a Researcher for Senator Joe Biden, and as Researcher for democratic political consultant Robert Shrum. Mr. Carter has completed his coursework for an MPA in Public and Nonprofit Policy Analysis and Management from NYU's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School for Public Service, and he will be awarded this degree in May 2008.
